01.How do I test if my touchscreen has dead zones or unresponsive areas?
Open our Touch Matrix Grid or Dead-Zone Matrix test. Drag your finger slowly across every section of your screen. Active cells light up upon contact; any unlit, gray cells indicate unresponsive digitizer dead zones caused by hardware damage or failing touch controllers.
02.How many touch points can my smartphone or tablet register simultaneously?

03.What causes touchscreen line jitter when charging?
Inexpensive or unshielded third-party wall chargers can inject Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) ripple noise into your device's ground plane. This disrupts capacitive sensor measurements, causing drawn lines to wobble or register ghost touches. Use our Vector Precision test while plugged in to measure EMI line noise.
04.What is touch sampling rate (Hz) vs screen refresh rate (Hz)?
Screen refresh rate (e.g. 60Hz, 120Hz) is how many times per second the display panel updates visual images. Touch sampling rate (e.g. 240Hz, 480Hz) is how many times per second the digitizer checks for finger input. Higher touch sampling rates reduce touch-to-response input lag.
05.How do capacitive touchscreens detect finger contacts?
Capacitive touchscreens use a transparent grid of indium tin oxide (ITO) electrodes carrying an electrostatic field. When a conductive human finger touches the glass, it distorts the local electrostatic field, allowing the touch controller to calculate X/Y coordinates.
06.Can screen protectors affect touch sensitivity and stylus precision?
Thick tempered glass screen protectors can increase spatial air gap thickness, reducing capacitive coupling strength and causing missed taps or stylus pen tracking offset.
07.What is ghost touch and why does it happen on mobile screens?
Ghost touch occurs when the digitizer registers random taps without physical contact. Causes include cracked digitizer layers, moisture under the screen protector, software driver corruption, or high EMI noise.
08.How do active styluses (Apple Pencil, S Pen) differ from capacitive rubber styluses?
Passive rubber styluses simulate a human finger on standard capacitive grids. Active styluses (Apple Pencil, Samsung S Pen) emit active electromagnetic or Bluetooth signals to transfer sub-pixel position, tilt angle, and 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity.
09.Does wet or sweaty fingers cause touchscreen malfunction?
Water is conductive. Droplets on a mutual capacitive touchscreen cause false capacitive bridges between adjacent grid nodes, creating erratic touch tracking until wiped clean.
10.How do I measure click-to-photon touch latency on Android or iOS?
